To reignite sales of The Macallan’s travel-exclusive Quest whiskies post-pandemic, we crafted an aspirational campaign inspired by 1930s travel posters—evoking nostalgia, wanderlust, and the allure of adventure.

Project details

The challenge for Quest was to reactivate sales of a travel-exclusiverange of whiskies after the Covid-19 pandemic had heavily restricted international travel. We suggested an aspirational campaign that sought to evoke longing, nostalgia, and hope regarding leisure travel. The idea was to introduce different destinations in the style of 1930s travel advertisements, and link them to the core idea of the Quest range: the promise of a mysterious, enticing adventure.

To achieve the style we had in mind, we worked with Copenhagen-based artist Mads Berg. Mads developed a series of destination key visuals in his recognisable art deco style, which we then animated to use online and on animated billboards.
